Founded by director Robert A. Baker in Fall 2012, NEWPRISM is comprised of players from the Baltimore and Washington D.C. areas and specializes in daring, provocative, and innovative solo and chamber art-music from the 20th and 21st centuries.

Our first concert featured David Lavorgna (flute), Pamela Helton (clarinet), Chris Gekker (trumpet), Joe Satava (piano), Lauren Rausch (violin), Adam Gonzalez (cello), and Robert A. Baker (piano/conductor), on a program featuring selections from Baker's new CD along with Morton Feldman's Projection 2 and Gerard Grisey's Talea.
